Entry-Level Carpenter/General Construction Laborer
Position Summary
Century Builders is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Carpenter / General Construction Laborer to join our growing construction team. This position supports commercial construction projects by assisting skilled carpenters and field crews with site preparation, material handling, basic carpentry, and general labor duties. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, eager to learn, and committed to producing quality work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Position Details
- Location: Fargo, ND
- Pay: Starting at $22.00 per hour (DOE)
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10-hour shifts
- Overtime: Available based on project needs
- Travel: May be required based on project location and business needs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and construction crews with daily project activities.
- Perform site preparation, demolition, and cleanup.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials under supervision.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with concrete work, framing, installation, and other construction tasks as assigned.
- Attend safety meetings and participate in required training.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous construction experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must pass pre-employment screening requirements.
